I hope you all had a wonderful summer and started to enjoy our beautiful fall weather. This time always brings lots of activities and opportunities to learn more about how CONTACT Altoona may help you and your family.
CONTACT Altoona loves our volunteers, and we could not provide all the important services to our communities without them. We have a new Training Workshop beginning on October 5th. Attached is a flyer with more information. CONTACT Altoona staff will be sharing about the great services we offer to Blair County residents and businesses. In addition to working with individuals through our Helpline and our Reassurance Program, we also go to businesses and other organizations to inform their staff on resources that are available through CONTACT Altoona and other entities.
Tuesday, October 20th from 2:30-5:30 join us at the Bavarian for a Community Resource Fair & Trunk or Treat. It’s a fun way to learn about what is offered here in our community and get some candy!
Remember to get your coupon for the Boscovs Friends Helping Friends Day that is happening on Wednesday, October 21st. This is a great way to support our local non-profits, including CONTACT Altoona. The $5 cost of the coupon stays with the non-profit. They added a one-time user online code, so you do not have to go into the store. And the coupons are accepted at any Boscovs in the country. Call me for more information on how you can get your coupon!
Give me a call to talk about the upcoming events and how you can get involved. The more information that is shared, the greater positive difference we can make!
